1. Introduction

Welcome to Reiki Mastery Academy.

These Terms & Conditions govern the purchase and use of courses, products, treatments, events, retreat days and services.
Reiki Mastery Academy is operated by Hilary Kingston, a sole trader trading as Reiki Mastery Academy.

Throughout these Terms & Conditions, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Reiki Mastery Academy. “You” and “your” refer to anyone purchasing our products, enrolling in our courses, booking treatments or attending our events.
These Terms & Conditions apply to the products, courses, treatments, classes, workshops and events offered by Reiki Mastery Academy through www.reiki-mastery.com, our associated Sellfy store and any other authorised booking platform.

By purchasing or booking our products or services, you agree to the applicable Terms & Conditions, subject to your statutory consumer rights.

2. Bookings and Payments
All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP), unless otherwise stated.
Payment is required at the time of booking or purchase unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed in writing.
Bookings are confirmed when payment has been accepted and a booking confirmation has been issued.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact details, including a valid email address.
Booking confirmations and relevant information will normally be sent electronically.
Where an event has limited availability, places are allocated according to confirmed bookings.
Any additional charges or payment arrangements will be clearly displayed before purchase.
3. Self-Paced Online Reiki Courses and Digital Products
Reiki Mastery Academy provides self-paced digital Reiki courses, downloadable manuals, audio recordings, educational resources and other digital products, principally through Sellfy.
These courses are designed for independent study and are not live online teaching sessions.
3.1 Online Reiki Courses — Digital Downloads, Sellfy Accounts and Access
Our online Reiki courses include digital manuals, audio recordings, assessments and other educational resources.
Following your purchase, you can download your course materials directly from the purchase confirmation page or through the purchase confirmation email sent to the email address provided at checkout.
You do not need to create a Sellfy customer account to purchase or download your course materials.
Optional Sellfy Customer Account

If customer accounts are enabled for our store, you may choose to create a Sellfy customer account either before or after purchasing.
By registering with the same email address used for your purchases, you can access your previous and future purchases in one place through the “My purchases” section of your Sellfy account.
​
This allows you to download course materials onto your devices and return to your purchased items through your account at a later date.
​
Creating a Sellfy account is entirely optional.
​
We recommend downloading and securely saving copies of your course materials for personal study and future reference.
Sellfy's applicable technical requirements and platform terms may also apply.
Digital Course Manuals and Certificates
All Reiki Mastery Academy course manuals, learning materials and certificates are provided in digital format only, unless expressly stated otherwise.

Reiki Mastery Academy does not provide printed course manuals or certificates. Students who wish to print their materials are responsible for arranging and paying for printing themselves.

Download Records
Through Sellfy, we may have access to records showing which individual course documents, audio recordings and other files have been downloaded.
​
We may use these records to verify access to purchased materials, provide customer support, resolve technical enquiries and review cancellation or refund requests.
​
Personal information associated with download records will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

If you experience difficulties accessing or downloading your purchased course materials, please contact support@reiki-mastery.com for assistance.
3.2 Cancellation Rights and Refunds
Consumers purchasing digital content online generally have a statutory 14-day cancellation right.
Where digital content is supplied immediately, that right may be lost once supply begins, provided the customer has expressly consented to immediate supply, acknowledged the resulting loss of cancellation rights, and the applicable legal confirmation requirements have been satisfied.

Where those requirements have not been met, the customer's statutory cancellation rights remain unaffected.
Express Consent to Immediate Digital Access

By ticking the mandatory “I agree to the terms and conditions” checkbox at checkout, you expressly consent to Reiki Mastery Academy supplying your purchased digital course content immediately, before the end of the statutory 14-day cancellation period. You also acknowledge and understand that you will lose your statutory right to cancel once the supply of the digital content begins, subject to your rights under applicable consumer law.
Nothing in these terms excludes any rights relating to faulty, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming digital content.
Refund requests should be sent to support@reiki-mastery.com.
Approved refunds will normally be returned through the original payment method.
3.3 Digital Online Reiki Course Completion and Certification
Students must successfully complete the required assessment and certification criteria within two years of their original course purchase to qualify for certification.
After two years, students may continue using their downloaded course materials for personal study, but certification under the original purchase will no longer be available.
Certification requirements include, where applicable:

Completion of the relevant Reiki Attunement.

Successful completion of the Reiki Assessment

Submission of the required Case History for Reiki Level 1 Diploma students.

Completion of the required assessments within two years of purchase.

Evidence of previous Reiki qualifications where required for admission to Reiki Level 2, Reiki Master or Advanced Reiki Teacher courses.

A digital certificate is issued only when the relevant course requirements have been fulfilled. Upon successful completion of all relevant requirements, the digital Reiki certificate will be issued electronically and sent to the student's registered email address given on the Assessment form in a digital format. Printed certificates are not supplied.​
Students undertaking the combined Reiki Level 1 and Level 2 Diploma Course will receive one combined certificate upon successful completion of both levels.

3.4 Online Digital Reiki Attunements
A Distant Reiki Attunement is included with the applicable Reiki courses.
Students may purchase an optional personalised Reiki Attunement for an additional fee.
Personalised Reiki Attunements are normally scheduled for the Wednesday following purchase. Purchases made on a Wednesday will normally be scheduled for the following Wednesday. The scheduled time is provided in the course manual and cannot ordinarily be changed.

The student and the Reiki Master tune in at the same time and the transmission of the Reiki Attunement takes place. It is recommended that the Reiki Attunement Audio be played at the commencement time set out in the manual. Please note that the student and Reiki Master do not see each other on a device, video, in any other format or in-person for this Attunement. The Reiki Attunement can be accessed at any time, thereafter, if the student is not available at the time of the Reiki Attunement, by playing the digital Reiki Attunement Audio in accordance with the accompanying instructions and the course manual.
3.5 Gift Purchases
Digital courses and products may be purchased as gifts.
The purchaser must provide the recipient's correct email address so that the relevant order confirmation and access instructions can be delivered.

4. In-Person Group Reiki Training
Reiki Mastery Academy offers instructor-led, in-person Reiki training courses, including Reiki Level 1, Reiki Level 2 and Reiki Master training.
Our courses combine theoretical teaching with practical experience, including self-healing, giving and receiving Reiki treatments, guided meditation, energy awareness exercises, Reiki attunements or initiations, demonstrations and supervised partner practice.
Training is delivered by a Reiki Master with over 25 years' experience in Reiki, healing and energy work, with individual guidance and support to help students develop their knowledge, practical skills and confidence.
Each course will have its own published description, location, date, duration, price, prerequisites and certification requirements.
4.1 Online Course Materials and Preparation
The corresponding self-paced Online Reiki Course is included with each In-Person Reiki Training booking.
Students are required to read, study and familiarise themselves with the supplied online course materials before attending their training day.
This preparation enables the in-person course to focus primarily on practical experience, alongside relevant theoretical teaching.
Course materials may include digital manuals, audio recordings, assessments, handouts and other educational resources.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, course manuals and certificates are supplied digitally rather than in printed form.
Course materials are provided for personal learning and reference and must not be reproduced, redistributed, resold or shared without authorisation.
The included digital content remains subject to the applicable digital content terms, intellectual property provisions and statutory consumer rights.
4.2 Booking and Attendance
Places on in-person Reiki training courses are limited and confirmed following successful payment.
Participants will receive booking confirmation and relevant joining information, including the venue, course timings, arrival arrangements and items to bring.
Students must attend the required training and complete any applicable assessments or practical requirements before certification can be awarded.
Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel and accommodation unless expressly included in the booking.
4.3 Course Prerequisites
Reiki Level 1 is generally suitable for beginners, subject to any published course requirements.
Reiki Level 2 and Reiki Master training may require evidence of previous Reiki training or qualifications.
Any additional prerequisites, including minimum practice periods or previous experience, will be specified before booking.
Reiki Mastery Academy may request relevant training information to confirm eligibility for advanced courses.
4.4 Health & Suitability Information and Informed Consent
All participants must review our Health & Suitability Information before booking and complete the required Health Declaration & Informed Consent Form before attending their training course.
Participants must provide accurate and relevant health information and inform their facilitator of any changes to their health, wellbeing or circumstances that may affect participation.
If you have any health concerns, injuries, mobility limitations, sensitivity to touch or require adjustments to the training or practical exercises, please contact Reiki Mastery Academy before booking so that appropriate arrangements can be discussed.
The general health screening, safety and consent provisions in Sections 14 and 15 also apply.
4.5 Practical Exercises, Attunements and Physical Contact
In-person Reiki training may include Reiki self-treatment, giving and receiving Reiki treatments with other participants, guided meditation, energy awareness exercises, attunements or initiations and supervised practical exercises.
Participation in individual activities is voluntary.
Participants may request adjustments, decline physical contact, choose hands-off Reiki or stop an activity at any time.
Physical contact will only take place with appropriate consent. Participants must respect the personal boundaries, privacy and consent of others during partner exercises.
Where a participant cannot undertake a particular exercise, reasonable alternatives may be considered where practicable. Any effect on course completion or certification requirements will be explained where relevant.
4.6 Assessment and Certification
Students must complete the relevant training, assessments and practical requirements for their Reiki level before certification can be awarded.
Certificates will be issued in accordance with the published requirements for the individual course.
Attendance alone does not guarantee certification where additional completion or assessment requirements apply.
A Reiki training certificate does not automatically confer external professional accreditation, membership of a professional body or insurance eligibility.
Participants intending to practise professionally are responsible for confirming the requirements of their chosen professional association and insurer.
4.7 Cancellations, Refunds and Transfers
Participants wishing to cancel or transfer an in-person Reiki training booking should contact Reiki Mastery Academy at support@reiki-mastery.com as soon as possible.
The applicable cancellation, refund and transfer arrangements are set out below and can be seen in Section 11 & 12, subject to any statutory cancellation rights that apply to educational training courses.

4.8 Course Changes and Cancellations by Reiki Mastery Academy
If Reiki Mastery Academy cancels an in-person Reiki training course, participants will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another available date.
If a course is rescheduled, participants may accept the new date or request a full refund.
Reiki Mastery Academy is not responsible for independently booked travel or accommodation expenses except where required by law.

4.9 Professional Practice and Personal Responsibility
Reiki training is provided for education, personal development and the development of practical Reiki skills.
Reiki is a complementary wellbeing practice and is not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment or professional healthcare.
Participants intending to offer Reiki professionally must practise within the scope of their training and competence and comply with applicable legal, professional, insurance and safeguarding requirements.
No particular physical, emotional, psychological or spiritual outcome is guaranteed.
5. One-to-One Reiki and Energy Healing Sessions — Online and In Person
Reiki Mastery Academy offers individual Reiki and Energy Healing sessions, both online (remotely) and in person at an agreed location.
Sessions are intended to support relaxation, energetic balance and personal wellbeing. They are complementary practices and are not substitutes for conventional medical or psychological care.

5.1 Health & Suitability and Informed Consent
Before booking, all clients must review our Health & Suitability Information.
Clients must complete and submit the Health Declaration & Informed Consent Form at least 24 hours before their appointment.
Clients must provide accurate and relevant information and notify their practitioner of any changes to their health, wellbeing or circumstances that may affect participation.
If the required form has not been received, Reiki Mastery Academy may postpone the appointment until the information has been provided and reviewed.
Participation is voluntary. Clients may request adjustments, decline physical contact during in-person treatments or stop a session at any time.
The general health and consent provisions in Sections 14 and 15 also apply.

5.2 Online and In-Person Arrangements
Online sessions require a suitable internet connection and a safe, private and comfortable environment.
In-person sessions take place at an agreed location, with relevant appointment and arrival information provided beforehand.
Clients should attend or join at the agreed time. Late arrival may result in a shortened appointment where extending the session is not reasonably possible.

5.3 Appointment Cancellations and Rescheduling
Clients wishing to cancel or reschedule an appointment must provide more than 24 hours' notice.
Cancellations or requests to reschedule made within 24 hours of the appointment, or failure to attend without notice, will normally result in the full appointment fee being charged or retained, to the extent that this fairly and proportionately reflects the loss resulting from cancellation.
Where an appointment can be filled or losses reduced, this will be taken into account.
If Reiki Mastery Academy cancels an appointment, the client will be offered an alternative appointment or an appropriate refund.
All cancellation and rescheduling arrangements remain subject to applicable statutory consumer rights.

6. Group Reiki and Energy Healing Sessions — Online and In Person
Reiki Mastery Academy offers group Reiki and Energy Healing sessions, both online and in person.
Sessions may include guided relaxation, meditation, Reiki and other complementary energy-based practices intended to support personal wellbeing.

6.1 Health & Suitability and Informed Consent
Before booking, all participants must review our Health & Suitability Information.
Participants must complete the Health Declaration & Informed Consent Form before attending or participating.
Participants must provide accurate and relevant health information and notify the facilitator of any changes that may affect participation.
Participation is voluntary, and participants may request adjustments, decline physical contact or stop an activity at any time.
The general health, safety and consent provisions in Sections 14 and 15 also apply.

6.2 Online and In-Person Participation
Participants should arrive or join punctually and follow the facilitator's reasonable safety instructions.
Online participants are responsible for having a suitable internet connection and choosing a safe, private and comfortable environment.
For in-person sessions, relevant venue, arrival and participation information will be provided before attendance.

6.3 Privacy and Confidentiality
Participants must respect the privacy and personal boundaries of others attending group sessions.
Recording, photography or sharing another participant's personal information is not permitted without appropriate permission.

6.4 Bookings, Cancellations and Refunds
Places may be limited and are confirmed following successful payment unless otherwise stated.
The applicable booking, cancellation, refund and transfer arrangements will be displayed before payment.
If Reiki Mastery Academy cancels a group session, participants will be offered an appropriate refund or the option to transfer to another available session.
All arrangements remain subject to statutory consumer rights.

7. Conscious Connected Breathwork — Online and In Person
Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB) is a guided breathing practice which may produce physical, emotional or psychological responses.​
Sessions may be offered privately, in groups, online or in person.
Participation is voluntary.
7.1 Health Screening
Please read the Health & Suitability Information page before booking any CCB session to check for any relevant contraindications or health concerns that may affect your participation. If you have any concerns or require modifications to the practice, please contact us before booking so that your individual needs and any appropriate adjustments can be discussed.
7.2 Health Declaration & Informed Consent Form
All participants in Conscious Connected Breathwork sessions, whether online or in person, are required to complete and submit a confidential Health Declaration & Informed Consent Form before participation. ​
Relevant health information must be provided accurately so that the facilitator can assess whether participation or a modified approach is appropriate.​ The facilitator may recommend a gentler breathing practice, request appropriate medical clearance or decline participation where there are reasonable safety concerns.​
Conscious Connected Breathwork is a complementary wellbeing practice and is not a replacement for medical treatment.
Certain physical or psychological conditions, pregnancy, medications or other circumstances may make this breathing practice unsuitable or require modifications or medical advice.​​​
Any resulting refund or alternative arrangement will be considered fairly, taking account of the circumstances and applicable consumer rights.

7.3 Participation and Personal Responsibility
Participants are encouraged to remain aware of their comfort and wellbeing throughout the session.
They may slow their breathing, return to natural breathing, rest or stop participating at any time.
Participants should notify the facilitator if they experience discomfort or distress.
Online participants must choose a safe, private and comfortable space where they will not be disturbed.
CCB is not a replacement for medical or mental health treatment.
7.4 Online Technical Requirements
Participants are responsible for having a suitable internet connection, device and environment for online sessions.
Where a participant experiences a temporary technical interruption, they should attempt to reconnect as soon as reasonably possible.​
A brief interruption, particularly towards the end of a session, does not automatically entitle the participant to a replacement session or full refund.​
Where a substantial part of the session is lost due to technical difficulties attributable to Reiki Mastery Academy, an appropriate remedy will be offered, which may include rescheduling, a partial refund or another reasonable arrangement.
Nothing in this provision limits statutory consumer rights.

8. Live Online Breathwork & Wellbeing Sessions
Reiki Mastery Academy offers online sessions, including Conscious Connected Breathwork, Reiki, Meditation, Healing, Sound Healing, Qigong and other Wellbeing practices. These are complementary wellbeing practices and not a replacement for medical treatment.

8.1 Health Screening
Please read the Health & Suitability Information page before booking any online CCB or Wellbeing session to check for any relevant contraindications or health concerns that may affect your participation. If you have any concerns or require modifications to the practice, please contact us before booking so that your individual needs and any appropriate adjustments can be discussed.
8.2 Health Declaration & Informed Consent Form
All participants for online CCB or Wellbeing sessions are required to complete and submit a confidential Health Declaration & Informed Consent Form before participation.

8.3 Bookings and Payments
Your place is confirmed once payment has been received, unless otherwise stated on the booking page.
8.4 Participant Cancellations and Refunds

Our standard cancellation arrangements are:

More than 24 hours before the session: You may request a full refund or transfer to another available session.

Within 24 hours of the session: No standard refund or transfer is offered, subject to fair and proportionate cancellation charges and applicable statutory rights.

Missed sessions: Refunds are not normally available for non-attendance, subject to applicable consumer rights.
Please submit cancellation or rescheduling requests to support@reiki-mastery.com.
8.5 Health and Participation
Please ensure you have a suitable internet connection, appropriate equipment and a safe, private space in which to participate.
You may pause, modify or stop any activity if you feel uncomfortable.
8.6 Technical Difficulties
If significant technical difficulties attributable to Reiki Mastery Academy prevent delivery of a session, we will offer an appropriate refund or alternative session.
A brief technical interruption that does not materially affect the overall session will not automatically entitle a participant to a full refund or repeat session.
8.7 Cancellation by Reiki Mastery Academy
If we cancel a session, you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another available date.
These arrangements do not affect your statutory consumer rights, including any applicable cooling-off rights.
9. Sound Healing and Sound Baths
Sound Healing and Sound Bath sessions may involve gongs, crystal bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, tuning forks, drums, chimes and other sound-producing instruments.
9.1 Health Screening
Please read the Health & Suitability Information page before booking any Sound Healing / Sound Bath session to check for any relevant contraindications or health concerns that may affect your participation. If you have any concerns or require modifications to the practice, please contact us before booking so that your individual needs and any appropriate adjustments can be discussed.

9.2 Health Declaration & Informed Consent Form
All participants must complete the relevant Health Declaration & Informed Consent Form before attending a Sound Healing/ Sound Bath. Participants must disclose relevant health conditions, hearing sensitivities, sound sensitivities or other circumstances that may affect their participation.

9.3 Sound Healing Participation
Sound levels, instruments or participation arrangements may be modified where appropriate.
Please bring a yoga mat, cover, thin head cushion, eye mask (optional) and some water.
In most venues, a chair can be supplied if this is more comfortable.
Participants may request a reduction in sound intensity or withdraw from the activity at any time.

9.4 Sound Healing Training Courses
Reiki Mastery Academy may offer in person Sound Healing training courses, workshops and Practitioner Training Days covering the use of selected sound healing instruments, techniques and practices.
Training may include demonstrations, practical exercises, supervised partner work, instrument handling, sound intensity and volume awareness, safe positioning of instruments, contraindications, client suitability and informed consent.
Each course will specify its content, duration, price, any prerequisites, assessment requirements and whether a certificate of attendance or completion is provided.
Participation in practical activities is subject to our Health & Suitability Information and the applicable Health Declaration & Informed Consent Form.
Completion of a course does not automatically confer professional accreditation, insurance eligibility or authority to practise beyond the training and competencies covered. Participants are responsible for confirming any professional or insurance requirements applicable to their intended practice.

10. Qigong
Qigong classes and workshops may be offered online or in person and involve gentle movement, breathing exercises and focused awareness.

10.1 Health Screening
Please read the Health & Suitability Information page before booking any Qigong session to check for any relevant contraindications or health concerns that may affect your participation. If you have any concerns or require modifications to the practice, please contact us before booking so that your individual needs and any appropriate adjustments can be discussed.

10.2 Health Declaration & Informed Consent Form
All participants must complete the relevant Health Declaration & Informed Consent Form before attending a Qigong session. The form will include general health screening, contraindication-related and additional questions relevant to the activities included in the session or event. Participants must disclose relevant health conditions, mobility or pain issues or any other circumstances that may affect their participation.

10.3 Participation
Participants are encouraged to work within their own physical capabilities and to modify or stop movements that cause discomfort.
Qigong is intended to support personal wellbeing and does not replace medical advice or treatment.
Please ensure that you read and understand our Reiki Mastery Academy Terms and Conditions below before booking any Reiki Mastery Academy products. Please also ensure that you have read our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Terms & Conditions
11. Wellbeing Events
Reiki Mastery Academy offers Wellbeing Days, Retreats, Workshops, Training Courses and Practitioner Dayswellbeing events incorporating selected practices such as Conscious Connected Breathwork, Qigong, Reiki, Meditation, healing and Sound Healing and Integration.
Each event or training programme will have its own published description, programme or curriculum, location, date, duration, price, prerequisites and participation requirements, where applicable.​
Practitioner Training Days and training courses may include practical demonstrations, supervised exercises, partner work and opportunities to practise techniques. Any certificate, assessment requirements or scope of practice will be specified in the individual course description.
11.1 Booking and Attendance
Places are limited and are confirmed following successful payment.
Participants will receive relevant joining information, including the venue, arrival arrangements and items to bring.
Participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation unless expressly included.
11.2 Participant Cancellation and Refund Policy
As places on our in-person events and training courses are limited, we kindly ask that you provide as much notice as possible if you are unable to attend.
If you need to cancel your booking, please notify Reiki Mastery Academy by email at support@reiki-mastery.com as soon as possible.

Our standard cancellation and refund policy for non-residential events and courses is:
7 days or more before the event/course: Full refund.
3–6 days before the event/course: You may request a transfer to another available date. A full refund will be provided if your place is successfully filled by another paying participant.
Less than 3 days before the event/course: Refunds or transfers are not routinely offered, but requests will be considered individually, taking account of the circumstances and any reasonable losses incurred.
Non-attendance: No standard refund, subject to statutory consumer rights.
Any cancellation charges or deductions will be fair and proportionate to the actual losses arising from cancellation, taking account of costs saved and any opportunity to fill the place.
Different cancellation arrangements may apply to residential retreats, courses or events involving significant advance commitments. Any such conditions will be clearly communicated before booking.​
Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
11.3 Fixed-Date Events/Courses – Cancellation Rights
Bookings for our in-person Wellbeing Days, workshops, retreats, Practitioner Training Days and training courses are made for specified dates. Under Regulation 28(1)(h) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the statutory 14-day cancellation right does not apply to qualifying leisure activities booked for a specific date or period. This exemption does not automatically apply to educational or professional training courses. Where a statutory cancellation right applies to a training course booked online, by telephone or otherwise at a distance, that right will be respected.
Our published cancellation, refund and transfer arrangements apply subject to any statutory cancellation rights and other applicable consumer protections. Any applicable cancellation rights and arrangements will be communicated before booking. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.

11.4 Courses & Event Changes and Cancellations
If we cancel an in-person event/course, you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another available date.
If we reschedule an event or course, you may accept the new date or request a full refund.
You are responsible for arranging your own travel and accommodation where applicable.

11.6 Health Declaration & Informed Consent Form
All participants must complete the relevant Health Declaration & Informed Consent Form before attending an event or training course. The form will include general health screening, contraindication and additional questions relevant to the activities included in the session or event. Participants must disclose relevant health conditions, mobility or pain issues or any other circumstances that may affect their participation.​
If you have any concerns or require modifications to the practice, please contact us before arriving so that appropriate adjustments can be discussed. ​
If your health, wellbeing or circumstances change after completing the form, please inform your facilitator before attending or participating.​​
All cancellation and refund arrangements remain subject to statutory consumer rights.

12. Online Group Reiki & Wellbeing Sessions
12.1 Eligibility
Sessions are available to adults aged 18 and over.
12.2 Purpose
Sessions are intended to promote relaxation and general wellbeing. They do not replace medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
12.3 Participation
Participants are responsible for ensuring they are in a safe, quiet and comfortable environment. Participation is voluntary, and attendees may pause or leave a session at any time.
12.4 Health
Participants are responsible for assessing their suitability to attend. Anyone with health concerns or who is unsure whether participation is appropriate should seek advice from a suitably qualified healthcare professional before attending.
12.5 Online Sessions via Zoom
Sessions are delivered live via Zoom. Participants will receive joining instructions following registration.
Each participant is responsible for having a suitable internet connection and access to Zoom. Joining links are intended for registered participants only and must not be shared.
Participants may choose whether to have their camera switched on or off. Please be aware that your name and, if enabled, your image may be visible.
Please keep your microphone muted throughout the session unless invited to unmute by the host. This helps maintain a peaceful, uninterrupted experience for everyone attending.
Sessions will not be recorded by Reiki Mastery Academy without prior notification and any necessary consent. Participants must not record, photograph or share any part of a session without permission.
12.6 Bookings and Cancellations
Advance registration is required.
Free sessions may be cancelled without charge. For paid sessions, the cancellation and refund terms displayed at the time of booking will apply, without affecting statutory consumer rights.
12.7 Changes or Cancellation by Reiki Mastery Academy
Reiki Mastery Academy reserves the right to reschedule or cancel sessions when necessary.
Registered participants will be notified wherever reasonably possible. If a paid session is cancelled by Reiki Mastery Academy, participants will receive a full refund unless they agree to an alternative arrangement.
12.8 Privacy and Personal Information
Personal information collected during registration and participation will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Participants are asked to respect the privacy and confidentiality of others attending group sessions.
12.9 Nature of Reiki and Wellbeing Sessions
Reiki and related wellbeing practices are complementary approaches intended to support relaxation and personal wellbeing. No specific outcome or benefit is guaranteed.
Participation does not establish a medical or therapeutic practitioner–patient relationship, and participants should continue to follow advice or treatment provided by their healthcare professionals.

13. Transfers to Another Person or Date
If you are unable to attend an in person event or course, you may request to transfer your place to another person.
Please contact us in advance. Any replacement participant must meet the relevant course prerequisites and complete any required health declarations or participation forms.
We may also consider transferring your booking to another available date, subject to availability and any reasonable additional costs. Transfers are not guaranteed.
Any cancellation charges or additional fees will be fair and proportionate, and your statutory rights remain unaffected.
14. Personal Belongings
Please take reasonable care of your personal belongings while attending our in person events or courses.
We recommend bringing only items necessary for participation.
Nothing in these terms limits any legal responsibility we may have for loss or damage caused by our negligence.
15. General Health & Safety
Reiki Mastery Academy offers in person, one to one and group complementary wellbeing practices including Reiki Healing, Energy Healing, Conscious Connected Breathwork, Sound Healing, Qigong, Meditation and related activities. These practices are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure medical conditions and are not substitutes for conventional medical or psychological care.​
Reiki Mastery Academy does not provide medical diagnoses, prescribe medication or recommend discontinuing treatment prescribed by a qualified healthcare professional.​
Participants should consult their GP, medical consultant or another appropriately qualified healthcare professional about medical concerns or questions regarding their suitability for participation.​​
If a participant feels unwell, experiences concerning symptoms or requires medical attention, they should seek appropriate medical assistance. In a medical emergency, they should call 999 or attend an Accident & Emergency department, as appropriate.
Participants are expected to provide relevant and accurate information in their Health Declaration & Informed Consent Form and to follow reasonable safety instructions.​
Participation is voluntary, and participants may stop or decline any activity.​
The Health Declaration & Informed Consent Form records the participant's understanding of the nature of the activities, relevant health considerations and agreement to participate.​
Signing or electronically acknowledging this form does not waive statutory consumer rights or exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.​
No particular physical, emotional, psychological or spiritual outcome is guaranteed.

16. Health Screening & Informed Consent
For online and in person one-to-one treatments, group events and training courses we may provide Conscious Connected Breathwork, Sound Healing, Qigong, Meditation, Reiki and/or energy healing. All participants must review our Health & Suitability Information before booking. This helps to identify, before booking, any relevant contraindications, health concerns or individual needs that may affect participation.
All participants must complete the applicable Health Declaration & Informed Consent Form before attending or participating.​ The form contains a general health declaration, together with additional screening questions and acknowledgements appropriate to the activities being undertaken.​ Participants must provide accurate and relevant health information and notify Reiki Mastery Academy of any changes to their health, wellbeing or circumstances that may affect participation, including before subsequent sessions. The form may be completed electronically using an appropriate secure system, with a recorded acknowledgement and date of submission, or signed in person where appropriate.

Completion of the form does not replace the separate acceptance of the Terms & Conditions at booking.
Health information will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.
Where explicit consent is the selected legal condition for processing health information, this will be requested separately from general agreement to the Terms & Conditions.

For online sessions, the participant is responsible for choosing a safe, suitable environment in which to participate, following the facilitator's instructions and stopping any activity if they experience discomfort or feel unwell.
The participant understands that the facilitator is not physically present to provide immediate assistance, and agrees to inform the facilitator of any relevant health concerns before the session.

17. Intellectual Property and Copyright
All Reiki Mastery Academy course materials, manuals, audio recordings, presentations, written content, branding and other original resources are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Purchasing a course or product grants the purchaser a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the purchased materials for their own learning and personal reference.
Unless expressly authorised in writing, materials must not be reproduced for commercial purposes, redistributed, resold, shared publicly, incorporated into other training programmes or uploaded to third-party platforms.
Purchased digital materials may be downloaded and stored for personal use in accordance with the applicable product licence.
18. Website Use and Third-Party Services
Our website and booking systems may contain links to third-party services, including Sellfy, Wix, payment providers and online meeting platforms.​
These services may have their own terms and privacy policies.
We take reasonable care in providing accurate information but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of third-party platforms.

20. Photography, Recordings and Confidentiality
Reiki Mastery Academy respects the privacy of participants attending private and group sessions.
Participants must not record or distribute sessions or disclose other participants' personal information without appropriate permission.​
Where Reiki Mastery Academy wishes to take photographs or make recordings for promotional purposes, participants will be informed and appropriate permission obtained.​
Declining promotional photography or recording will not prevent participation in an otherwise suitable session.
21. Changes to Services and Terms
Reiki Mastery Academy may update its products, services, prices and Terms & Conditions from time to time.
Changes will not retrospectively remove or reduce rights under existing customer contracts.
